House vote on bipartisan infrastructure package and budget reconciliation process an encouraging step forward
WASHINGTON — Today, the House voted to approve the $3.5 trillion Budget Resolution, and adopted a rule for consideration of the $1 trillion infrastructure bill.
We are pleased to see both the bipartisan infrastructure package and budget reconciliation process move forward in the House following today’s procedural vote. The budget reconciliation effort is expected to include vital and transformative investments in America’s clean energy economy, creating jobs and confronting climate change after decades of delay. This vote should make us optimistic that common ground can be found and that we can get to ‘yes’ on both of these critical pieces of legislation.
