Revealed Methane Emissions at Oil and Gas Sites Across Europe
Using a state-of-the-art infrared camera, Clean Air Task Force documented methane emissions leaking or venting from oil and gas facilities all over Europe. So far, we’ve visited more than 150 sites in seven European countries and found harmful, invisible methane pollution at the vast majority of sites. We released the first tranche of footage alongside the launch of our #CutMethaneEU campaign, aimed at urging European Union lawmakers to regulate methane emissions from the oil and gas sector.
