Helped form the Carbon Capture Coalition

After years of advocating for the advancement of carbon capture, and working to mobilize a diverse array of partners around this critical technology, Clean Air Task Force united conservative and liberal stakeholders across party lines and industries into one overarching coalition, leading to the formation of the Carbon Capture Coalition.

Today, the Carbon Capture Coalition is a nonpartisan collaboration of more than 80 businesses and organizations building federal policy support to enable economy-wide, commercial scale deployment of carbon capture technologies, which includes carbon capture, removal, transport, utilization, and storage from industrial facilities, power plants, and ambient air.

Economy-wide adoption of carbon capture technologies are critical to achieving net-zero emissions to meet mid-century climate goals, strengthening and decarbonizing domestic energy, industrial production and manufacturing, and retaining and expanding a high-wage jobs base.

Convened by the Great Plains Institute, Coalition membership includes industry, energy, and technology companies; energy and industrial labor unions; and conservation, environmental, and energy policy organizations.
