About the event
The challenge of meeting the nation’s growing electricity load demand with a reliable, affordable, and clean energy supply is significant. To balance near- and long-term costs, policymakers will need a good understanding of electricity system dynamics, proactive planning principles, and available technology options.
This webinar will present a systems-wide view on electricity system transformation and discuss the challenges of and paths forward for meeting growing electricity demand through innovative clean firm power technologies, improved reliability and decarbonization planning, and more. Non-weather-dependent, always-available, zero-carbon power is critical to maintaining reliability and containing costs as energy systems work to decarbonize. However, there are gaps to realizing these potential benefits.
Presenters will include experts from Clean Air Task Force and the World Resources Institute as well as a leading state policymaker. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the stakes and options for building the electric grid of tomorrow, today.
Please join us for the second installment of CATF’s 2025 State Policy Webinar Series.
