Clean Air Task Force launches COP29 Climate and Energy Declaration Tracker
Clean Air Task Force (CATF) today launched the COP29 Climate and Energy Declaration Tracker, an interactive tool designed to provide clear and accessible insights into the commitments made by countries, NGOs, and other stakeholders during the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
“At COP29, it’s clear there’s a pressing need for greater transparency and clarity around climate commitments,” said Lee Beck, Senior Director for Europe and the Middle East. “Our goal with the Declaration Tracker is to offer a streamlined way to keep track of and learn more about significant climate and energy declarations, helping to enhance understanding and engagement with global climate action.”
The COP29 Climate and Energy Declaration Tracker is aimed at simplifying the often complex landscape of international climate commitments. Through this tool, users can easily navigate key declarations based on various criteria, including launch date, launch country or organization, and specific topics or themes.
While the tracker highlights major climate and energy commitments announced at COP29, it is important to note that it is not an exhaustive list of all pledges made at the conference. Certain announcements, particularly those pertaining to smaller or more specific initiatives, may not be included. Users are encouraged to consult official COP29 documentation for a complete record of all commitments.
The COP29 Climate and Energy Declaration Tracker is now available here.
